Products You Will Need

  • Rustoleum Mirror Effect

Steps To create your Own Vintage Mirror Art:

#1 Design Your Sticker:

  • Start by creating a sticker for your design. You can use a Cricut, a laser printer, or found stickers depending on your supplies.

  • Place these stickers on the clear ¼” acrylic sheet in your desired pattern. Leave one side of the acrylic sheet masked to prevent scratches on the front of your mirror.

#2 Secure the Stickers:

  • Use a squeegee or a credit card to firmly press the stickers onto the acrylic, ensuring there are no air bubbles

#3 Apply Mod Podge for Texture:

  • Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the areas where you want texture. The looser

  • and messier, the better for a vintage look.

  • Allow the first layer of Mod Podge to dry completely. Then apply a second, thicker, and even messier layer.

  • Use a paper towel to lightly blot the Mod Podge, creating the texture you desire.

#4 Spray Paint Application:

  • Once the Mod Podge is fully dry, take the acrylic sheet outside to a well-ventilated area.

  • Apply one layer of the Krylon Looking Glass Spray.

  • While the Looking Glass Spray is still wet, mist a layer of the vinegar and water solution (50/50). This will create a rustic, aged effect by eating through both the spray paint and Mod Podge.

  • Immediately follow with a layer of Rustoleum Mirror Effect spray.

#5 Create the Vintage Effect:

  • Let the layers dry slightly (about one minute), then use a towel to lightly dab the pooled streams of vinegar.

  • Allow all layers to dry completely.

#6 Final Touches:

  • Apply a layer of Rustoleum's Black Texture Spray for the finishing touch.

  • Once everything is fully dry, remove the mask from the front of your acrylic sheet.
